Seafront Walk
Enjoy a delightful seafront stroll along the promenade by the Marina leading to Veteranplassen near the Hålogaland bridge, then return. Extend your walk by 2 kilometers along the scenic outer side of the Narvik peninsula to Framneslia. This flat and pleasant route is perfect for individuals of all ages.
Taraldsviktoppen
An easy trek suitable for everyone. Just ascend along the ridge from Førstevannet to reach the summit. Embrace the stunning panoramic views, capturing the city and fjord from a higher vantage point. Every meter of altitude gained rewards with magnificent vistas, making this journey a visual delight.
Førstevannet
A favorite family hike, a leisurely walk along a nicely kept dirt path leads to a quaint mountain lake. It features fishing spots (for children under 16 years), cozy Laavu's, and inviting campfire spots. An ideal destination for a full day of family fun.
The Funn Cabin
A day trip cabin situated in the hiking area of Tøttadalen in Narvik, remains open and accessible throughout the year. It's an inviting spot suitable for visitors of all ages, making it an excellent destination for a day out in the Narvik mountains.
Forsnesvannet
A mountain lake nestled within a secluded valley, surrounded by steep mountain walls, offers breathtaking vistas of the Ofotfjord and Tøttatoppen. Along the ascent, numerous scenic viewpoints provide perfect spots for picnic breaks and admiring the landscape.
Rombakstøtta
Narvik's iconic peak, easily spotted from the city center. While the trek involves some light climbing to reach the summit, it doesn't require additional specialized hiking gear beyond what's needed for a moderately steep mountain hike.
Fagernestoppen
The prominent thousand-meter peak adorned with a distinctive mast stands as a visible landmark towering above the city. Its proximity, convenient accessibility, and breathtaking vistas render it the most sought-after hike for the locals.
Tredjetoppen
Following the trail 1.7 kilometers beyond Fagernestoppen leads you to Tredjetoppen. Towering at 1,272 meters, this summit boasts an even more awe-inspiring panoramic view of the fjords and mountain peaks encircling the city.
